@lfg, #124And my point it: that is a sad way of thinking. Margaret Mead had it right: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."My actions are not "to assuage my guilt." They are the right thing to do. They are supplemented by policy and legislative work, and direct action, to change the status quo.I only brought up the examples to rebut your naive remark that I must live in some kind of dream world, where there is no suffering. Believe me, I know otherwise. You are contributing to a world of suffering and I hope that in the future you can evolve to a more appropriate mindset. Not one that causes you suffering, but one that brings enlightenment. I must take on some extra angst because of selfish people who refuse to do the right thing. But I am fine. I was only trying to communicate some ideas to you. Not an easy thing because your mind is so closed. I guess it takes a high degree of cognitive dissonance to condone slaughter, or in some cases, ignorance of what it entails.
