Ex-Monk's Kettle Chef Surfaces for Saturday's New Taste Marketplace

He'll be selling wild mushroom penne and chipotle chocolate bacon bars Saturday.?Recently departed Monk's Kettle chef Kevin Kroger is among two dozen chefs and other food vendors showing up Saturday for the first of two community food markets. Elianna Friedman, organizer of double New Taste Marketplace fundraisers, has enlisted a mix of the established, like Kroger (busting out a business called Urban Chef), Hapa Ramen, and Neo Cocoa, and the fledgling: Goat Hill Granola, Nosh This. Beneficiaries are Potrero Hill's Food Pantry and St. Gregory of Nyssa Church. The second market drops Sat., Dec. 18.
